MY GOLF BLUEPRINT
Pull: checks and practice
A pull starts toward the lead side with little curve. Its direction alone does not identify which body movement caused it.
Possible causes
- Face and path pointing toward the lead side
- Aim that was already left or right
- A timing or ball-position change
Simple checks
- Check face aim independently of foot alignment.
- Observe initial flight rather than final roll.
- Use short swings to see whether the pattern remains at lower speed.
A practice drill
Reset the setup completely before each of ten shots. Record the start direction. A repeatable setup helps distinguish aim from delivery.
Avoid this trap
Do not call every ball finishing left a pull. A hook may start right and finish left, which is a different ball-flight pattern.
The checks narrow the possibilities; they do not confirm a diagnosis. Keep a record of several shots and ask a qualified coach to connect the pattern to your swing.
