MY GOLF BLUEPRINT
Trajectory control: choose height for a purpose
A lower or higher flight is useful when it improves a real shot. Delivery, speed, loft and contact all contribute to the height.
Work through it
- Choose a safe target and one iron.
- Experiment with a slightly shorter swing for a lower controlled flight.
- Observe launch and carry before changing ball position dramatically.
- Check whether the shot still lands with enough stopping power.
A practical example
A low recovery under branches needs a flight you have already tested, not a last-second technical experiment.
Practice task
Hit three normal shots, three lower shots and three higher shots at moderate effort. Record carry and landing behavior rather than guessing distance from appearance.
Common mistakes
Do not force extreme shaft lean or move the ball far back without checking contact. A low shot is not automatically better in wind.
Choose a comfortable movement and change one variable at a time. Stop if a movement causes pain; a qualified coach can adapt the task to your mobility and experience.
