MY GOLF BLUEPRINT
Make practice transfer to the course
Useful practice combines a clear task, feedback and a later test without repeated attempts. Volume alone does not show learning.
Work through it
- Choose one measurable skill.
- Begin with a simple repeated task to understand feedback.
- Change targets or distances once the task is manageable.
- Finish with a one-ball test and record the result.
A practical example
Five successful repeated chips show that a task is possible. Repeating the result from different lies is a stronger sign of useful progress.
Practice task
Use half the session for focused repetitions and the remainder for target changes and a short test. Write down one result and the next task before leaving.
Common mistakes
Do not spend an entire session hitting the same easy target. Do not add so many thoughts that you cannot tell which change mattered.
Choose a comfortable movement and change one variable at a time. Stop if a movement causes pain; a qualified coach can adapt the task to your mobility and experience.
